Applied Behavior Analysis

Quality Applied Behavior Analysis Services to address autism, intellectual developmental disabilities, and mental health for anyone 18 months - 20 years of age. We provide care across Georgia and South Carolina, offering in-home, daycare/aftercare, and/or clinic-direct therapy services.​

One of our most developed, collaborative programs is Applied Behavior Analysis (ABA). This evidence-based practice helps individuals with autism and other disabilities that can impact their advancement and integration in school, as well as other areas of the community.

The program connects the client and his or her family with a Registered Behavior Technician to receive at-home therapy, as well as support in schools, and/or other areas of the community, as needed.

Frequently Asked Questions

 

Q: Does my child need to attend services five days a week, or can  he or she attend two to three days a week?

 

A: The schedule will depend on the your child´s treatment recommendations and the hours approved by his or her insurance. Our program generally requires a minimum of 20 hours per week, spread across five days, and we recommend consistent attendance four to five days per week. We can discuss whether a two- to three-day schedule would meet your child´s treatment needs and our scheduling requirements. If approved hours are consistently unused, the insurance may reduce the hours authorized at reassessment.

 

Q: What is the timeframe for starting services?

 

A: There are two authorization steps. First, we request insurance approval for the initial assessment, which typically takes about one month. Once approval is received, the assessor has up to two weeks to complete the assessment. We then submit the assessment and treatment plan for ABA therapy authorization, which may take another one to two months. These timeframes are estimates and depend on the insurance company’s review process.

 

Q: How will services be paid for? Will we be billed daily, weekly, or biweekly?

 

A: The answer depends on your child´s insurance benefits. A typical expected copay may be $30 per day. However, on a day where a child receives more than one service, the total copay may be as much as $60, depending on how the insurance applies the copay. Some insurance companies do not require a copayment. Before services begin, we will clarify when payments are due and how they are collected.

 

Q: How will we track your child´s progress and make sure you understand what is being addressed during the sessions?

A: Before therapy begins, we will review your child´s proposed treatment plan with you, including his or her goals and topics to be addressed during sessions. You will have an opportunity to ask questions and will be asked to sign your consent to the plan. We also will explain how progress will be measured and shared with you during treatment.

 

Q: Will the client receive an evaluation to determine her current abilities and specific needs?

 

A: Yes. Once the insurance authorizes the initial assessment, a behavior analyst will evaluate your child´s current skills and individual needs. The findings will guide the your child´s treatment goals and recommendations for ABA services.
